BEER COURSES – WORKSHOPS

BEER TASTING COURSES
1st LEVEL BEER LOVER
BL
2nd LEVEL BEER EXPERT
BE
3rd LEVEL BEER GEEK
BG

The Good Beer Society offers a beer tasting course divided into 3 levels, with 7 lessons per level. People who achieve the first one will obtain the Beer Lover title. Those willing to deepen their knowledge will go through the second level, becoming Beer Experts. After passing the third level final test, students will be actual Beer Geeks, and will be able to become The Good Beer Society official tasters and lecturers.

Our lecturers are expert beer tasters, homebrewers, professional brewers, marketing and communication experts and beer industry professionals.

How it works

We offer a beer tasting course divided into 3 levels, with 7 lessons per level. A final exam will allow students to become certified beer tasters and The Good Beer Society lecturers. At the end of the first 2 levels “Beer Lover” and “Beer Expert” there is a self-assessment test. After having completed the “Beer Geek” third level lessons, students will have to pass a final test on all levels. Candidates having attended other tasting courses can access directly the “Beer Expert” or “Beer Geek” levels through a self-assessment test.

To access the following level or the final exam, participants may not have more than 2 absences per level.

An attendance certificate will be given to students once they complete the first and second level, while they will be awarded with the official beer taster and The Good Beer Society lecturers certificate only once they have passed the final test (concerning all levels). At the beginning, we require newly appointed lecturers to assist senior lecturers.

Course registration

Registrations close 10 days before the beginning of the first lesson. The minimum number of participants required depends on the chosen level. If this number is not achieved, The Good Beer Society reserves the right to postpone the course. Enrolled students will receive a confirmation email with starting date, address and schedule of the lessons once achieved the minimum number of participants required.

Participants will taste at least 3 beers per lesson during the whole course.
